It's time we get rid of the confusing entry page into our business, and replace it with a colorful Pick the red, or blue button page. We need to have an actual SALES page, professionally written by John Carlton, and nice friendly graphics to lead our prospects to WANTING a Premium Listing.

Classified Ads

PayPal is the primary way to pay for listings on our directories it would be good to either provide an entry in the admin backend to enter a "page_style" or hard code a default directory "page_style" in the payment code. This way we can create our own custom header inside Paypal that displays our directory name and makes the whole purchase process more seemles

Community Calendar

I am surprise that not one have requested this to be a priority one.

At present the directory looks like a book without a cover - the index page is showing but there is no welcome. If we are to promote the main URL's of the sites, then this is the first page that the visitors reaches, and at present the first impression is a poor one, with no welcome and no strapline to tell them what the site is all about. We have about 2 seconds to catch attention and at the moment I fear we aren't.

Give the directory owners access to this link for their Twitter accounts. At least we will then have the option to promote our directories and not have this link to a twitter account that Isn't updating regularly.

Multiple Languages

Coming from a big market, I find it odd that, especially in the States, we have no subcategories for Steak houses, Barbecue joints, or Seafood Restaurants...first things I look for in "the Book" when I'm out of town

We really need to get the pingbacks / trackbacks separated from our end-user comments to encourage discussions on our blogs.

The regular comments should come first, and then Pingbacks / Trackbacks can be placed below.

This, however, requires modifying the comments.php files to separate this - so it is best done by the DNA team and pushed out to us.

Once this is done in the templates, then other options like using threaded comments plugins become more viable.

Provide coupon codes into the purchase of Standard and Premium Directory listings

Upsell Local companies from Free listings by offering special discount coupons for upgrading to a paid listing.

Probably need to have coupon codes and discount amount in our backend...

I would like to see a confirmation/preview page for listing submission.
The page should have:
- preview of the added listing
- clear statement of cost and subscriptions.
- possibility to update/change the information in my listing.

The file uploader MOD will allow the end user to upload many different file formats to their detail page.

It allows up to 6 images to be uploaded and laid out in a 6 pack grid format with thumbnail images clickable to full size.

You can set the limit from 1 to 6 images and/or files.

First of all, I'm not sure what exactly this means - and if it refers to the number of hits from our site's listing to their site, it's always going to be low and unimpressive looking when the listing is first posted at the very least (possibly for much longer) - and is just a reason for potential advertisers to say these listings aren't working.....so why list it there?

At the very least, please give us the option to remove it if we choose.

Right now the find it button pulls too many results.For example I search for Minneapolis Institute of Art and I get 7200 listings in alphabetical order. Instead of the listing i am searching for.

This will allow the end user to embed a video from up to 8 different video site by just input the video code.

Video will show up on detail page.
